KXCJ-LP 105.7 FM is Pacifica’s newest affiliate from Cave Junction, Oregon!
KXCJ-LP is a new, volunteer-run, community-based low-power station. Located in Illinois Valley, a rural river valley in Oregon’s far southwestern corner, the station serves a string of small towns connected to each other—and to the rest of the world—by a two-lane highway. Such towns include Takilma, Kerby, O’Brien and parts of Selma.
KXCJ is licensed to Spiral Living Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Illinois Valley since 2006, whose mission is “to create a sustainable, self-sufficient community in the Illinois Valley.”
KXCJ aims to be both a community-building and a community-connecting force in the valley, sharing skills, information, local culture, and plenty of live music. KXCJ plans to go on the air in the Illinois Valley by Summer 2015. Welcome to the network, KXCJ!
