The dolphin is the mascot of Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA. So, naturally it is fitting that WXDR-LP, one of only 12 community college radio stations in the U.S., is otherwise known as Dolphin Radio. Like the dolphins of the deep, WXDR-LP keeps the chatter going on what’s happening in their world.
Since 2011, WXDR-LP has been an outlet for students, faculty, staff, and community volunteers. The station features a wide variety of music, including rock, hip-hop, blues, country, and of course, killer jazz. Spoken word programs are also featured, on topics ranging from science to poetry. In the spring, WXDR broadcasts the play-by-play action of the nationally ranked Delgado Dolphins baseball team.
Pacifica Network is happy to Welcome WXDR-LP to our international organization of affiliates.
You can catch WXDR-LP at 99.1 MHz in New Orleans, LA or find them streaming online.
