The first hour of History for the Holidays is a compilation of the PRA’s most popular programs, newest discoveries, and holiday songs—woven with excerpts from Music for the Holidays, a compilation of holiday songs donated by prominent musicians.
Highlights include the voices of Studs Terkel, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Vonnegut, Martin Luther King, Jr., Angela Davis, and Judy Chicago, including the holiday story “A Christmas Eve Truce (World War I).”
