The People's Radio
 KSUA is a student-operated college radio station that serves the
University of Alaska Fairbanks and surrounding Fairbanks North Star Borough.
The station is funded primarily from a portion of the Student Government Fee
that students pay each semester. Additional financial support comes in the form
of underwriting by local businesses. The broadcast license is held by the University
of Alaska Board of Regents.
KSUA broadcasts on a frequency of 91.5 MHz, outside the "commerical"
band of the FM spectrum. With a broadcast power of 3 kilowatts, KSUA can be
heard throughout the Fairbanks area, even as far as Tok and Healy. |
